The Price
Administration module integrates with the Corporate Database module to provide
facilities for the maintenance of products and prices held within the system.
The module can be configured to fulfil the requirements of both retail and
wholesale activity. Details of product/price information can be hosted to the
EPOS Choise Store back office and IPoS tilling systems.
The module
utilises the main database held within the Choise system to provide facilities
in terms of price change, new line, replacement line, deleted line, promotional
and offers activity. This information is subsequently processed by transfer
programs that provide compatible files that are made available to EPOS systems.
The pricing database maintained by this
module is accessed by other Choise system modules such as Warehousing,
Shop/Customer Ordering & Distribution and Branch Charging in order to
provide a comprehensive Retail Head Office and Wholesale solution.
Pricing Models
The
following corporate pricing models are catered for: -
1. Internal branch
network - Warehouse Cost, Branch Cost(s), Retail Bands.
2. Internal branch
network & external customers - Warehouse Cost, Branch Cost(s), Retail
Bands, Wholesale Bands.
3. External branch
networks - Warehouse Cost, Branch Cost(s), and Retail Bands.
4. Internal/external distribution and direct invoicing (Cash & Carry) - Warehouse Cost, Branch Cost(s), Retail Bands, Wholesale Bands.
Module Procedures:
New Product
Items and Price Changes
Programs are provided for the entry of new product lines and for the
easy replacement of existing product lines. These programs allow for the
setting up of retail and wholesale prices dependent on the specific pricing
model.
Facilities are provided for the changing of existing product prices.
Margin maintenance principles are used to initially recommend automatically
recalculated retail and wholesale prices.
Promotional,
Special and Offers Pricing
The module provides facilities for: -
1. Promotional pricing
including automatic price reinstatement and margin maintained recalculation.
2. Special pricing by
product and shop.
3. Offers including
multi-buy and link-save pricing.
Product/Price Epos
Hosting
Facilities
are provided for the transfer of product/pricing data to EPOS systems. This is
achieved via the head office system to the EPOS Choise Store back office system
or direct to the IPoS tilling system. The module allows for immediate and
pending price updates and applies appropriate effective dates to transferred
price records.
Enquiries
The module
contains enquiry facilities for the viewing of new and replacement product
lines along with current and pending price changes. A full history of cost and
retail product price changes is held for purposes such as buying support and
accurate credit calculation.
Reporting
The module provides reports for the auditing of new line and price changes, and for the provision of information on an ad-hoc basis. Reports are automatically produced from the entry of data and from the transfer of data to hosted EPOS systems. New line and price change bulletins can be produced for shop distribution and price lists for external customer purposes can be provided dependent on the pricing model. In addition price listing can be produced in product or supplier order, and price history reports can be produced as required.
